Located in the south of Israel, Daroma strives to bring the individual back to the center and mainly produces films that deal with social issues. Our mission is to give a voice to the “other”, the ones that aren’t represented in the mass media.
Daroma, founded in 2009, has more then 20 projects for cinema and TV.
Haggai Arad and Elad Peleg are the executive producers and managers of the company.
They have produced “Red Leaves” which won the Fipresci award and Best Debut Film award at the Jerusalem Film Festival (2014) before touring in festivals around the world. The documentary “Life according to Ohad” which screened at DocAviv (Special Jury Mention) and Santa Barbara Int’l Film Festival among others. “Inertia” a Micro budget feature film they produced in 2015 was selected to the Berlinale Forum and to T-Mobile New-Horizon in Poland. “The Interrogation” was sold around the world and was selected to Goa IFF
and “Between worlds” was presented during the “First look” W.I.P event of the 2015 Locarno Film Festival and later on premiered in Busan IFF.
In 2019 "A Whore Like Me" won the Ophir Prize (Israeli oscar for best short documentry) and "Mossad" became one of the most commercialy succsesful films in Israel.
Our mission is to give a voice to the “other”, the ones that aren’t represented in the mass media. We are looking for partners around the world - Producers, Distributors, Sales agent to collaborate on our projects and to find new interesting projects around the world.
Haggai Arad - BFA with Honors in the arts of cinema and television, was the production manger in Sapir collage and directed the movie “gam v gam”.
Elad Peleg - BA in behavioral science & economics, MBA in business administration. The producer of Utopia – Israel fantasy and sci-fi Film Festival, been the program director of cinematheque Sderot for 7 years and worked as the co-manger of “Cinema Fringe” project.
